The University of Amsterdam hosted a workshop on April 19, 2023, focusing on the comparison of cyber troop phenomena across Southeast Asia. Beltsazar Krisetya, a researcher from Safer Internet Lab and the CSIS Politics and Social Changes Department, presented on the topic of disinformation in Indonesia’s 2024 General Election. Krisetya also introduced the Safer Internet Lab initiative, a project by CSIS Indonesia and Google, aimed at addressing information disorder in Indonesia, with a focus on the 2024 General Election. The workshop, conducted in a hybrid format, was attended by representatives from Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
