Safer Internet Lab (SAIL) is now officially part of the International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE) through its principal researcher, Beltsazar Krisetya.

IPIE is an independent global science organization dedicated to assessing the health of the world’s information environment. Officially launched at the Nobel Prize Summit in 2023 and based in Switzerland, IPIE brings together leading scientists from around the world to produce scientific reports that inform policymakers, researchers, and the public on critical threats, including AI bias, algorithmic manipulation, and disinformation.

IPIE publishes three main types of reports:

• Summaries for policymakers – Concise briefs designed for decision-makers.
• Technical papers – In-depth analyses of regulatory and methodological issues.
• Synthesis reports – Systematic reviews and knowledge aggregation for expert audiences.

By joining forces, we aim to expand networks and strengthen research on the information environment, fostering the development of robust solutions for policymakers and fact-checkers.
