Perludem (Association for Elections and Democracy) organised an online Focus Group Discussion on March 21, 2023. The discussion revolved around the need for a coordinated approach to monitor and report disinformation schemes for the 2024 General Election. The aim was to understand the mechanisms for monitoring and reporting election disinformation at Bawaslu and on social media platforms, and to explore potential collaborations between civil society, Bawaslu, and social media platforms. Beltsazar Krisetya, a researcher from Safer Internet Lab and the CSIS Politics and Social Changes Department, shared information about the Safer Internet Lab’s project to counter information disorder for the upcoming election.
