Sailing with Waves of Truth
Empowering accurate information in countering information disorder.
About Safer Internet Lab (SAIL)
Safer Internet Lab (SAIL) is a collaboration between CSIS and Google that aims to systematically address information disorder, including misinformation and disinformation, through research and multi-stakeholder engagement.
SAIL will be collaborating on the following:
- Research to develop a deep understanding of how information disorder spreads and what role tech platforms can play. This will create solutions for policymakers and fact-checkers to maintain public trust better.
- Outreach and Engagement, by bringing the stakeholders together to discuss trends and lessons and to brainstorm sustainable solutions. This will help to create forums for the co-creation of solutions that ultimately build a safer web for users in the region.
The Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a multi-disciplinary policy-oriented think tank that undertakes research in economics, politics and social change, and international relations, with topics selected on the basis of their relevance to public policy in Indonesia and Southeast Asia and SAIL’s lead organisation.
